Whether or not you have heard of BenQ’s handsets, the Taiwanese company has recently showcased a new smartphone which was said to have won the iF Product Design Award 2009.

The candybar phone, called BenQ Royal, is “a smart phone with powerful functions including a personalized interface and internet live messenger.

behind the main screen, BenQ says, the handset has a touch-sensitive area, which lets users turn the pages of e-books or browse photo/music files.
