A new smartphone has been introduced by German discount brand Base; the Base Lutea. The Base Lutea comes with features such as: a 3.5-inch WVGA (800×480) touchscreen, MP3 player, radio, Bluetooth, a 600 MHz processor, 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi.

The Base Lutea is a rebranded ZTE Blade that comes with only one difference...a 5MP camera. The ZTE Blade and the Orange San Francisco had the 3MP camera. Customers can get the Base Lutea, free, on a two year E-Plus contract for 14 euros a month which will also include 200MB of high speed data. Once you go over the 200MB, you can expect the speed to switch over to EDGE levels. The 200MB high speed is HSDPA at 7.2Mbps.

The Base Lutea is said to become available in the month of December of this year.
