After debuting in September, Googles two-way speech translating mode called Conversation Mode has just arrived on Android phones with a refresh of the popular Translate app.
While most of the Translate update provides usability changes new buttons, drop down boxes, etc. the addition of Conversations Mode adds a new way to communicate. With Conversation Mode, a pair of users can speak back and forth using an Android phone as interpreter. The first person speaks in their native language, allows the phone to say the translation to the second person, who then repeats the process back and forth.
There are some catches, of course. Firstly, Google is quick to point out that the technology that supports Conversation Mode is in the alpha phase of development, and can be tripped up by regional accents, background noise or rapid speech. Secondly, the Android app has a very real restriction in that it can only perform Spanish/English translations for now. While this underlines the fact that we really arent quite to the point of having a Babel Fish in our pockets, Its exciting to see this technology finally getting in to the hands of users. - Geekosystem

This is very impressive. Of course it is still in adjustment phase and can still improve but it is really a great start

Re: Google Translate Adds Real-Time Conversation Translation
I just recently graduated from a language school and am now looking for a job as a translator in one of the business companies. While I go to interviews and communicate with employers, I read articles related to languages and the work of an interpreter at the same time. For example, here's a great blog article about the average translation indicators, how many words and how long it can be translated so that it is considered the norm. It may be useful for you as well.

Re: Google Translate Adds Real-Time Conversation Translation
I didn't know that before. Thanks for the new update. But I genuinely don't prefer to use google translate because it won't translate very well. Instead of using google translate, I take help from experts which I found on https://thewordpoint.com/services/tr...ation-services this website. If you want to translate any important document then I will strongly recommend you not to take help from google translate. Or your documents will have a lot of mistakes. I have already gone through that situation and that is why I am sharing my opinion with you.

Re: Google Translate Adds Real-Time Conversation Translation
I do not like Google Translate, as this program does not translate the text well. This is not what I need and as a result I get poor quality work. I think my recommendation will definitely be useful for many, as with the help of Tradutor English Portuguese I can translate an essay or whatever into any language. I have been using only their services for a long time because they are of high quality!

Re: Google Translate Adds Real-Time Conversation Translation
For many years now, I have been recommending my friends to apply for translation services of various documents only at latvian english translator. After all, I checked their reliability and safety on my own experience. Also, their great advantage is a very wide selection of language pairs. Thanks to an international database of translators and proofreaders, they can translate your text into any language you need.
