I'm sure there's been 1000's of these threads, but I don't know where to start looking. I've been with Verizon for a long time and with a kid on the way, I want

    Here's what I want:

    Big screen
    1080p video
    Quality Camera
    HDMI out
    keyboard

Basically everything I can get out of a Droid 3.

I don't really care about apps. or downloading and verizon makes me set up a $30 per month data plan along with my other regular calling plan. Gets my bill up to about $90 per month. I don't really talk on the phone much, but do text a bit. Not like crazy, but for an example: I'm 21 days through my 31 on Verizon for this month and have 200+ text including incoming and only 6 minutes of talk time.

Any advice on a phone or phone company or getting the phone I want and going with another company? Is that even possible? To buy the phone and go with a different company? Maybe stay with verizon and have no data plan or online capability with the phone? ideas?

thanks for your time and advice!

Go to your carriers store, website, Walmart, Best Buy, Radio Shack, or shopping mall Kiosk and chat with a rep there.
This way you can get first hand info.
