Internal Memory (RAM) Management

Manage Applications (Keep them up to date):

  1. While on the home screen, select "Menu"
  2. Select "Applications"
  3. Select the desired applications
  4. Go to "Options" and then "Update" or "Update all"
  5. Press "Yes" and follow any additional prompts

Restarting Your Device:

Note: the manufacturer advises you to restart your smartphone regularly. To do so:

  1. Press and hold the red "Power" button (the "End call" key) and wait for the device to turn off
  2. Press and hold the "Power" key again until the device turns back on


Internal Storage (ROM) Management

Tips on how to clear the storage regularly:

  • Delete unnecessary SMS and MMS (text / multimedia messages)
  • Clear the browser cache, history and cookies
  • Delete the call logs
  • Transfer pictures and media from your phone's memory to your computer, and clear up the memory

Changing the Settings for Email Synchronization to Prevent Filling the Storage Quickly:

  1. While viewing the home screen, press "Menu"
  2. Select "Messaging"
  3. Navigate to the "Email" tab and then highlight your email address, but don't select it
  4. Select "Options" > "Settings"
  5. Scroll to and select "Advanced settings"
  6. Select "Account settings"
  7. Scroll to "Retrieve amount" and then enter the desired settings
  8. Press "OK" and then confirm by selecting "Yes"

Viewing the Amount of Free Internal Storage:

  1. From the Home Screen, select "Menu"
  2. Go to "Media"
  3. Scroll to and select "Files"
  4. Select "Memory status"
  5. Go to the "Phone" tab (if necessary) and view the "Free" value


SD Card Management

Formatting the SD Card:

WARNING! Formatting the SD card will result in loss of all the data stored on it. Make backups if necessary. To format:

  1. While on the home screen, select "Menu"
  2. Select "Media"
  3. Scroll to and then select "Files"
  4. Highlight "SD card" but don't select it
  5. Select "Options" > "Format"
  6. Press "Yes"

Setting the Default Memory Storage Location:

  • Camera / Camcorder:

  1. While on the home screen, select "Menu"
  2. Go to "Media" and then open "Camera"
  3. Select either "Camera" or "Camcorder"
  4. Select "Options"
  5. Navigate to "Storage"
  6. Select either "Phone" or "SD Card" as the default storage location

  • Email:

  1. While viewing the home screen, select "Menu"
  2. Select "Messaging"
  3. Navigate to the "Email" tab
  4. Select "Options" and then "Select storage"
  5. Choose either "SD Card" or "Phone" as the default storage location for Emails

  • Text Messages:

  1. On the home screen, select "Menu"
  2. Go to "Messaging"
  3. Navigate to the "SMS / MMS" tab
  4. Select "Options" and then go to "Settings"
  5. Select "Text Message" or "Multimedia message"
  6. Go to "Common settings" (if necessary)
  7. Select "Preferred storage" and then choose either "SD card" or "Phone"

  • Contacts:

  1. From the home screen select "Menu"
  2. Go to "Contacts"
  3. Select "Options" and go to "Management"
  4. Select "Preferred Storage" and then choose one of the following options: "SIM", "Phone", "Phone and SIM"

  • Voice Recorder:

  1. Select "Menu" while on the home screen
  2. Navigate to and select "Media"
  3. Choose "Video Recorder" and go to "Options"
  4. Scroll either left or right and select "Storage"
  5. Choose either "SD card" or "Phone" as the default storage location for the voice recorder

  • Viewing the Amount of Free SD Card Storage:

  1. While on the home screen, select "Menu"
  2. Go to "Media" and select "Files"
  3. Press "Memory status"
  4. Scroll to the "SD card" tab if necessary, and view the "Free" value

Opening or Deleting Files Using the Device:

  1. From the home screen, go to "Menu"
  2. Select "Media" > "Files" > "SD Card"
  3. Navigate to the file / files that you wish to delete
  4. Select "Options" and then "Delete"
  5. Confirm by pressing "Yes"
