Installing the MicroSD Card:
- Power off your phone
- Remove the back cover and remove the battery
- Slide the metal microSD card tray to the right to unlock it
- Once the tray clicks and releases, place the microSD card slot with the gold contacts facing forward
Removing the MicroSD Card:
- Slide the metal card tray to the right to unlock it
- Remove the microSD card from the slot
- Close the tray and slide it to the left into the lock position. The tray will click once locked
Formatting the SD Card:
WARNING! By formatting the SD card you will lose all the data saved on it.
- While viewing the home screen, tap "All apps"
- Select "Settings"
- Tap "Storage" under "Device"
- Scroll down to "SD Card" and then tap "Format SD card"
- Tap "Format SD card" to confirm
Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card using the Computer:
- Connect your handset to your PC using the USB cable
- On your computer, click "Open device to view files"
- Open the "Removable Disk" folder that represents your SD card
- Click to open the desired folder
- To delete a file, click it, then press "Ctrl + D" on your computer keyboard, then click "Yes"
- Once finished, safely disconnect your phone from your PC
Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card using Your Smartphone:
- From the home screen, tap "All apps"
- Select "File Manager"
- Tap "SD Card"
- Navigate to, and tap the files that you wish to open or delete
- To open a file, tap it
- To delete a file, press the "Trash can" icon, then press "OK" to confirm
Setting the Default Memory Storage:
- Tap the "All apps" icon located on the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Under "Device", tap "Storage"
- Under "Default write disk", set the default storage location to "SD Card" (or "Phone Storage")
Viewing the Amount of Free SD Card Space:
- While on the home screen, tap "All apps"
- Select "Settings"
- Under "Device", tap "Storage"
- Tap "SD card" and view the "Free" value
Transferring Files From the SD Card to Your Computer:
- Connect your smartphone to your computer using the USB cable
- On your computer, click "Open device to view files"
- Navigate to and open the "Removable Disk" drive corresponding with your smartphone's SD card
- Locate and copy the desired files located on your computer
- Paste the files on your phone's SD card
- Once finished, safely disconnect your smartphone from your computer
Transferring Files from your Phone's Internal Storage to the SD Card:
- While viewing the home screen, tap "All apps"
- Open "File Manager"
- Tap "Phone storage" and tap "phone"
- Locate the file that you wish to move
- Select "Options" and then tap "Select"
- Mark the files that you wish to transfer, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Options"
- Scroll to and then tap "Copy selected". (Alternatively, tap "Move selected" to move the files without creating duplicates)
- Scroll to and select "SD Card", then tap "Open"
- Navigate to where you wish to transfer the files. Select "Options" and then "Select"
