As any seasoned smartphone user would tell you, battery life is very important on your device, and in order to gain more battery life from your smartphone, you need to manage it accordingly. Below you will find several simple tips and tricks that will allow you to increase your ZTE Grand S Flex's battery life on a daily basis.

Disabling Wi-Fi When Not in Use:

Wi-Fi can be quite demanding on your handset's battery, so it's highly recommended that you disable this feature when not in use. To do so:

  1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" key
  2. Tap "System settings" and go to "Wi-Fi"
  3. Slide the "Wi-Fi" switch to "OFF" to disable this feature

Disabling Bluetooth When Not in Use:

Much like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth can also hit your battery pretty hard. That's why you should disable Bluetooth whenever you're not actually using it. To do so:

  1. Press the "Menu" key while viewing the home screen
  2. Tap "System settings"
  3. Tap "Bluetooth"
  4. Slide the "On / Off" slider associated with Bluetooth and set it to "OFF"

Disabling GPS When Not in Use:

GPS is one of the most battery demanding features on any smartphone. It takes a lot of juice to connect directly to a satellite, so it's highly recommended that you don't leave GPS enabled when not in use.

  1. From the home screen, press the "Menu" key
  2. Tap "System settings"
  3. Go to "Location services"
  4. Unmark the "GPS satellites" check box in order to disable GPS connectivity

Changing the Screen Brightness:

A smartphone's screen is also a prime component that is quite demanding on battery life. As such, you can conserve battery life by decreasing the screen's brightness. The brighter a screen is, the more battery it needs.

  1. Press the "Menu" button while viewing any home screen
  2. Tap "System settings"
  3. Tap "Display" > "Brightness"
  4. Unmark the check box associated with "Automatic brightness"
  5. Drag the brightness slider to a lower (but still readable) level
  6. Tap "OK" to confirm

Disabling Your Live Wallpaper:

Live wallpapers need a certain degree of processing, and that extra processing needs extra juice from your battery. To maximize your handset's battery life, it's recommended that you don't use a live wallpaper.

NOTE: some live wallpapers require more battery than others.

  1. From any of the home screens, press the "Menu" key
  2. Tap "Wallpaper" and select "Home"
  3. Select the location from where you wish to pick a static wallpaper (such as "Gallery" or "Wallpapers")
  4. For gallery images, crop the image and tap "OK" to confirm. For wallpapers, select the desired one and tap "Set"

Disabling Touch Sounds:

Although this isn't one of the main features that you should worry about when conserving battery life, disabling touch sounds can also help. To do so:

  1. Tap "Menu" while viewing the home screen
  2. Go to "System settings" and tap "Sound"
  3. Unmark the check box associated with "Touch sounds"

Switching to 2G Networks Only:

In case of "emergency", you can always switch to 2G networks only, in order to save battery life. To do so:

  1. Press the "Menu" button while viewing the home screen
  2. Tap "System settings" > "Mobile networks"
  3. Mark the "Use only 2G networks" check box
