Using iTunes:

NOTE: If you have iTunes installed on your computer you can use the app to sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account. Then you can add the account on the OnePlus 2, and sync the contacts with your Android device. This method requires iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection.

  1. Connect your iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes and click the iPhone to view the summary page
  3. Access the “Info” tab and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing one
  6. To begin the sync, click “Apply”
  7. Once the sync is done, register the Google account on the OnePlus 2 and allow it to sync contacts with your Android device

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If you have used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone before, your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account. You can access it on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts as a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  4. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. After the file is downloaded on the computer, import it to “Google Contacts” or skip this step and instead:
  6. Connect the OnePlus 2 to your computer via USB, and transfer the file to the phone’s storage. Then open the “Contacts” app and use the “Import” function from the app’s menu to add the vCard file’s contents to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer your iPhone contacts via email. This method doesn’t require a computer with Internet access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on your iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. After the vCard file is created, tap “Email”
  4. Compose the email – make sure the vCard file is attached to it
  5. Send the email to your own Gmail address
  6. On the OnePlus 2, open the email and download the attached file
  7. Import the file’s contents via the “Contacts” app

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app that can be used to transfer contacts and other types of files without needing a computer, using a P2P connection.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the OnePlus 2
  3. Launch the app on both handsets
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a method of transfer. Example: you can tap “Receive” on the OnePlus 2 and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone. You can also tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and start the transfer by scanning the code with the OnePlus 2’s camera
