Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the ZTE Obsidian to your PC via USB
- On the home screen, slide the Notification bar down
- Make sure the phone is connected as a Media device (MTP)
- From the AutoPlay window that should appear on the computer, double-click Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer
- Access the Media folder on the phone
- Open a second Explorer window and locate the desired audio files on your computer
- Copy the files, and transfer them in the Media directory, specifically in the Ringtones, Alarms, and / or Audio/Notifications folders. (NOTE: If the folders dont exist, you can create them manually)
- After the transfer is done, click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray and click Safely Remove Mass Storage Device > OK
- You can now disconnect the phone from the computer
Change the Phone Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Go to Sound & notification
- Tap the gear icon associated with the currently active sound profile
- Tap Phone ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK to confirm, and optionally you can disable or enable Vibrate
Set a Custom Ringtone for a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts stored on the phones internal memory or the SIM card.
- Launch Contacts
- Select the contact you want to edit
- Tap Menu > Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK to confirm
Change the Notifications Sound:
- Go to the phones Settings menu
- Tap Sound & notification
- Tap the gear icon associated with the currently active sound profile
- Tap Default Notification Sound and select the desired sound
- Tap OK to confirm
