WARNING! When you factory reset your phone all of your personal data stored on the phone’s internal memory will be deleted, including apps, ringtones, downloaded content, contacts etc. In addition all the settings will be restored to factory values.

NOTE: You can visit this thread to learn how you can back up and restore data, as well as enable / disable Android Anti-Theft on the ZTE Axon Pro.

Master Reset via Settings:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Under “Personal”, tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Tap “Factory data reset”
  5. Assuming that your phone is protected by a password / PIN / pattern, enter it and proceed
  6. Tap “Reset phone” to confirm and wait for the process to complete (You may need to reboot your phone)

Master Reset via Recovery:

NOTE: In case you are unable to master reset your phone from the Settings menu, you can try resetting it via recovery. You can access the Recovery menu by performing the following:

  1. Turn off the device
  2. With the phone turned off, press and hold “Power”
  3. After a couple of seconds, press and hold “Volume Up” too
  4. Keep both buttons pressed until you are prompted to “Select Boot Mode”. Release the keys
  5. From the recovery menu, ensure that “Recovery Mode” is enabled and tap “Volume Up” to select the option
  6. Wait for the device to display an android next to a yellow triangle, and press “Volume Up” + “Power” at the same time
  7. You should now see the Recovery menu. From the menu, press “Volume Down” to navigate to and highlight “Wipe data / factory reset”
  8. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option and wait for the phone to reboot
