Hi All
Quick question for you.
Recently I was in Alaska and my provider just has poor to no coverage up there. So I was on the hotels WIFI and noticed I could make calls over the WIFI connection.
That got me thinking about other uses.
First off I have only US service and nothing international including Canada and Mexico.
Now my wife and I do travel abroad regularly and I got wondering. Lets say I am in Japan which we do travel to yearly and I am on the hotels WIFI. Can I make phone calls over the hotels WIFI even without having international calling package on my cell phone?
And secondly if I can would the WIFI calling me international meaning I could cal the US from Japan or even lets say I am in the US and needed to call Japan for reservations say could I connect to my own home WIFI and call Japan free?
Just curious how this works being it's something new.
Thanks
Dave
