Check the Amount of SD Card Storage:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to Device
- Tap Storage
- Scroll down and view the Total and Available SD card storage
Change the Default Storage Location:
NOTE: By default your phone and pre-loaded applications will use the internal memory to store data. However, you can change the default location to SD card. To do so:
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Device
- Tap Storage
- Select SD card under Default write disk
Format the SD Card:
WARNING! When you format the SD card, all the data stored on it will be removed. If necessary, create backups before the format.
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings
- Under Device, tap Storage
- Scroll to and tap Erase external SD card
- Tap Erase SD card
- Tap Erase everything to confirm
Transfer Files from the Internal Storage to SD Card:
- On the home screen, open the apps drawer
- Open File Manager
- Tap All files and navigate to the items you want to transfer
- Tap and hold the file(s) you want to transfer
- Tap Move and navigate to the target folder
- Tap Paste
Transfer Files from the SD Card to a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the Grand X2 and computer
- Swipe the Status bar down and make sure the phone is connected as a Media device (MTP)
- Open an Explorer window on the computer and navigate to the phones SD storage
- Locate and copy the desired files
- Navigate to your backup location on the computer and transfer the files
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect
