Back Up & Restore App Data:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Turn on “Back up my data” and “Automatic restore”

NOTE: App data will be restored automatically when you sign in with your Google account.

Back Up & Restore Contacts:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings” and tap “Accounts”
  3. Select an account to use for syncing your contacts
  4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

NOTE: To restore contacts, sign in with the Google account used for the backup.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the OneTouch Fierce XL to your computer via USB
  2. From the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  3. Make sure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
  4. Open an Explorer window on the computer and locate the media files on your phone
  5. Copy the files and paste them in the desired backup location on the PC
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
  7. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector

Restore Media Files From a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the Fierce XL and computer
  2. Access the notification area and make sure the connection is set to “Media device (MTP)”
  3. Open an Explorer window on the computer and locate the media file back up on your computer
  4. Copy the files, and transfer them back on your phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector
