Back Up App Data:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Tap Backup & reset under Personal
- To back up settings, account data, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account, enable Back up my data
- To allow the automatic restoration of app data upon reinstallation, turn on Automatic restore
NOTE: You will be prompted to automatically restore data when you sign in with your Google backup account for the first time, such as after a factory reset.
Back Up Contacts:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Accounts
- Select the account you want to use for syncing your contacts
- Tap Menu > Sync now
NOTE: You will be prompted to automatically restore contacts backed up using the method above once you sign in with your Google account, such as after a factory reset.
Back Up Contacts to Storage:
- Open Contacts
- Tap Menu > Import / Export
- Select to Export to storage
- Tap OK to confirm
NOTE: To restore contacts, Open Contacts and tap Menu > Import / Export > Import from storage. Then, select an account to add the contacts to, and select the available vCard backup file from your phone storage to import its contents.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the BLU Life One X (2016) to your computer via USB
- Drag the Status bar down and make sure Media sync (MTP) is turned on
- Open the File Explorer on the PC
- Locate the media files on your phone storage and copy them
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on your computer
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
- Safely disconnect the device from the USB connector
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the BLU Life One X and computer
- On the phones home screen, swipe the Status bar down and enable Media sync (MTP) if necessary
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
- Copy the media file backups and transfer them in the Media folder on your phone
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
