Transfer Contacts Through iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with access to the Internet, you an sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then, you can sync the account data with the Asus ZenFone Max.
- Use the USB Lightning cable to connect the iPhone to your PC
- Open iTunes on the computer
- In iTunes, click the iPhone to view the devices summary page
- Go to the Info tab and turn on Sync Contacts With
- From the drop-down menu, select Google Contacts
- Log in with your Google account, or alternatively click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the ZenFone Max and register the same Google account
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Transfer Contacts Using iCloud:
NOTE: If you have already backed up your iPhone contacts to your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the backed up contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on your computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts and select the contact you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded on the PC, import it to Google Contacts
- Alternatively, skip the step above and instead: connect the Asus ZenFone Max to your PC and transfer the vCard file to the phone storage. Next, import the file using Contacts
Via My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require access to a computer, you can also transfer your contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an app for iOS which can be used to back up and transfer your iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- After the vCard is created, tap Email
- Compose an email containing the vCard attachment and send it to your own address
- On the ZenFone Max, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Launch Contacts and use the app to import the vCard
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use to transfer contacts without requiring a computer. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the ZenFone Max via the Google Play Store
- Open the app on both handsets
- Tap Send on the iPhone
- Tap Contacts and select the contacts you want to share
- Tap Send" and choose a transfer method, such as Receive on the Asus ZenFone Max, or Generate QR Code on the iPhone
