Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

NOTE: You can transfer audio files from your computer to the ZTE Blade V6, and use the files for ringtones and notification sounds.

  1. Connect the ZTE Blade V6 to your computer using the USB cable
  2. When prompted, turn on “Media device (MTP)”. Otherwise you can enable the option from the notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Using the Explorer, locate the desired audio files on your PC
  5. Copy the files and paste them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” directories
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and disconnect the device from the USB cord

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound”
  3. Under “Call ringtone & vibrate” tap “Phone ringtone”
  4. Select a ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
  5. Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the contact you want to customize
  3. Tap “Edit” in the upper-right corner (pencil icon)
  4. Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  5. Choose a ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm

Change the General Notification Sound:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
  3. Under “Sound”, tap “Default Notification Sound”
  4. Select the desired notification sound and tap “OK” to confirm
