Back Up App Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. To back up account / app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account, enable “Back up my data”
  5. To restore app data automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account, enable “Automatic Restore”

Back Up Contacts to Storage:

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. If necessary, go to the “All Contacts” tab
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
  4. Choose to “Export to storage”
  5. Before tapping “OK” to confirm, make sure you remember the file’s name for future use

Restore Contacts from Storage:

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Tap the “All Contacts” tab
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export” > “Import from storage”
  4. After the phone finishes searching for vCard files, select the one you wish to import
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the restore. If necessary, select an account with which to sync the contacts

Back Up Contacts on a Google Account:

  1. Open the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Go to “Accounts” and tap “Google”
  3. Select the account you want to use for the sync / back up
  4. Make sure the “Contacts” check box is selected
  5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method will be automatically restored the next time you log in with the Google account you used for the backup.

Back Up and Restore Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the ZTE Blade V6 to your computer via USB
  2. When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)” (If not prompted then enable the option from the notification area)
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Using the Explorer, locate the media files on your phone and copy them
  5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
  7. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

NOTE: To restore media files from a Windows computer, follow the first 3 steps above and then transfer the media files from the computer to the phone storage, preferably in the folders they originate from (usually the “Media” directory).
