Sync iPhone Contacts with Google Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data – including contacts – with the Archos 50 Helium Plus

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the PC
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. After the sync is complete, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  4. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. Once the vCard has been downloaded on the PC, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the Archos to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third party applications to share your iPhone contacts with the Archos. My Contacts Backup is an iOS application that can back up and transfer contacts via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap “Email” once done
  4. Compose a new email making sure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Archos 50 Helium Plus and open the email
  7. Download the vCard attachment and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Archos 50 Helium Plus
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Select a transfer method, such as “Receive” on the Archos or “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
