Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and access Info
- Turn Sync Contacts With ON
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure
- Select an existing account and click Apply
- Once the process is complete, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard file has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of these steps:
- Use the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android phone to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third party applications to share your iPhone contacts with the Android phone. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the application and tap Backup to create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Tap Email and compose a new email containing the vCard attachment
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment and import it via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other types of files cross-platform without requiring a computer.
- Open the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Launch the Google Play Store on the Android device and install the same app
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, choose an available transfer method on one of the smartphones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
