Back Up App Data:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data to your Google account
  5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you log in with your Google account

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”, then select an account type
  3. Tap the account you want to use for contact syncing
  4. Make sure “Contacts” is enabled
  5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Nitro 55M to your PC via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” from the “Notification” area on at the prompt
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
  5. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Nitro 55M to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media file backups on the computer storage
  5. Copy and paste the files back on the phone storage, preferably in the folder(s) from which they originate, or the “Media” directory
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
