Back Up and Restore App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, app data, and settings to your Google account
  4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, passwords, and settings to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

Back Up and Restore Contacts:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access “Accounts”
  3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contact backup
  4. Enable “Contacts” if necessary
  5. Then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: To restore contacts, sign in with your Google backup account and sync the contacts with your phone.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the BLU Grand XL to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files form a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the BLU smartphone to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups on the PC storage
  4. Copy and transfer the backup files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
