Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
  5. Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “notifications” directories under “Media”
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap “Sound & Notification”
  3. Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  4. Tap “OK”
  5. Optionally, enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Access “All Contacts”
  3. Select the contact you want to customize and tap “Edit”
  4. Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound & Notification” > “Default notification ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”
