Share iPhone Contacts with Google Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure
- Select an existing account and click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the BLU Studio J8 and log in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on Android OS.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the contact you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the BLU device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard backup file containing your iPhone contacts
- Once the file is done, tap Email
- Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the BLU device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for sharing contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device via the Google Play Store
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Lastly, select the desired transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
