Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data – including contacts – with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  8. After the sync is done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  9. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in to the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Go to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, copy the vCard to the phone storage, and import the vCard to the phonebook using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts via third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
  3. After the backup is done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your address
  6. Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use for contact transfer is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of flies without requiring computer access.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
