Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account, and then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. Access the “Info” section and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in to the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to the phonebook using Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import the vCard to the phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”. This will create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the backup is done, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to the phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for contact transfer. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Android device from the Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
