Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the PC and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” and sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing one
  5. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  6. After the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  7. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Another way to share your iPhone contacts without computer access is through third-party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up iPhone contacts in a vCard file and share it via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”. This will create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. After the backup is complete, tap “Email” and ensure the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email attachment to your own address
  5. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Via Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for contact transfer, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring computer access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install the app on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install Send Anywhere on the Android device too
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
