Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access in order to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes and click the iPhone
- Access the Info section
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account if available
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings
- Click Export vCard and wait for the file to be downloaded
- Once done, perform one of the following steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: You can share your iPhone contacts without having computer access by using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone via the App Store
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once the vCard is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- From the Play Store, install the same app on the Android device
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen steps to complete
