Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access in order to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data including contacts with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone once it connects
  3. Access the “Info” section and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in to the account on a computer with access to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to the phonebook via Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts via third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android phone and open the email
  7. Download the vCard attachment and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use on both Android and iOS is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring a PC.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
