Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
  3. Access the “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same Google account from iTunes
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. Once the vCard is downloaded, follow one of these steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import its contents to your phonebook

Using “My contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app you can use to back up and share contacts via email.

  1. Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone from the App Store
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap “Email” and compose an email ensuring the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email to your own address
  5. Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard
  6. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts cross-platform without requiring computer access.

  1. Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone from the App Store
  2. Access the Play Store and install the app on the Android device
  3. Launch the app on both phones
  4. Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
