Share iPhone Contacts using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
  3. Access “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” and log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing one
  5. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  6. Once done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  7. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with Internet connectivity and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard is downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can use third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the backup is done, tap “Email” and make sure the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email to your own address
  5. On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring access to a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Android device from the Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
