Transfer iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts form iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts”
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. Once the vCard is downloaded perform one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Via My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”. This will create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. After the backup file is done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android device and download the vCard attachment
  7. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use for contact transfer, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring access to a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Android device via the Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both phones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Choose a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-scree prompts to complete the process
