Sync iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the PC
  3. Click the iPhone and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  8. Once the sync completes, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  9. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer and then perform one of the following steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, use the app to send the vCard to your own email address
  4. Switch to the Android phone and open the email
  5. Download the attached vCard and use “Contacts” to import its contents to your phonebook

Via Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Android device via the Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” and select the desired contacts
  5. Then, tap “Send” again
  6. Select the desired transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
