Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing one if available
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once done, perform one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import its contents to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and use it to create a vCard containing your contacts
- Then, send the vCard through the app to your own email address
- Next, switch to the Android device and open the email
- Download the attached vCard and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files without requiring computer access.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android phone from the Play Store
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Finally select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts
