Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.
- Launch the Internet browser on the PC
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings
- Click Export vCard and then follow one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your account via Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is a third-party app for iOS that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and use it to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
- Once the file is done, use the app to compose an email and attach the file
- Send the attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Play Store and install the app on the Android device
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Choose a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
