Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. Go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  8. Once the process completes, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  9. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share
  6. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  7. Follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import its contents to your phonebook using Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is a third-party app for iOS that can be used to back up your iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app on the iPhone and create a vCard backup file containing your contacts
  3. Once the file is created, use the app to send it to your own email address as an attachment
  4. Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  5. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contact and other file types without requiring access to a computer.

  1. Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone via the App Store
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  5. Select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
