Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts and select the ones you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email in vCard format.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once done, compose a new email and attach the vCard
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts
- Tap Send again and select a transfer method on one of the devices
- Follow the prompts to complete the transfer
