Transfer iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes and click the iPhone, then go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing one
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- After the sync completes, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Click Settings > Export vCard and follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with access to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone from the App Store
- Launch the app and create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Compose an email and attach the vCard
- Send the attachment to your own email address
- Switch to the Android device and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment and import it to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use for contact transfer on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring computer access.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the app on the Android device from the Play Store
- Launch the app on both phones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Tap Send and select a transfer method on one of the phones
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
