Back Up & Restore App Data:
- Launch Settings
- Access Personal
- Tap Backup & Reset
- Enable Back up my data to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your backup account
- Enable Automatic Restore to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or when signing in with the backup account
Back Up & Restore Contacts:
- Open Settings
- Access Accounts and select an account type
- Tap an account to use for contact syncing
- Make sure the Contacts tick box is checked
- Tap Menu > Sync Now
NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically when logging in with the backup account or manually by syncing the account data with the phone.
Back Up Media Files on a PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and computer
- On the phone, enable Media device / File Transfer when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the PC
- Navigate to the media files on the phone
- Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
- Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a PC:
- Connect the phone to the PC vai USB
- Enable Media device / File Transfer on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the backup files and copy them
- Transfer the files to the phone storage in the folders of origin
- Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
