Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. From the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Launch “Settings” and go to “Display”
  4. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
  5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value such as “15 seconds”

Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access “Device”
  3. Tap “Battery”
  4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to turn the features Off
  3. Open “Settings” and access “Location” for more GPS options
  4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
  5. Go back to “Settings”
  6. Expand “Wireless & Networks” and disable “Tethering & Mobile hotspot”

Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Wireless & Networks”
  3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
  4. Enable “2G”

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can improve the device’s battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your apps/ accounts.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access “Accounts”
  3. Select an account type and an account
  4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you might be able to improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Apps” and switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
  3. Select the desired app
  4. Tap “Force Stop” or “Disable” to turn the app off
  5. Tap “Uninstall” to remove the app from the phone

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “About phone”
  3. Tap “System updates”
  4. Check if new updates are available for download
  5. If updates are available, follow the prompts to download and install them
