Transfer Audio Files form a Computer:

  1. Connect the phone to the computer via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the audio files on the PC
  5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage preferably in the “Ringtones” and/or “Notifications” directories
  6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access “Sound & Notification”
  3. Tap the desired ringtone
  4. Tap “OK” and optionally enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: You can’t set custom ringtones for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or SIM card.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap and hold the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change the Notification Alert Sound:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Sound & Notification” > “Default notification ringtone”
  3. Select the desired notification alert sound
  4. Tap “OK” to confirm
