Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android device via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone, at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC and locate the audio files
  4. Copy the desired audio files and transfer them to the phone storage in the “Ringtones” and “Notification” folders
  5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access “Sound & Notification”
  3. Select the desired ringtone
  4. Tap “OK”
  5. Optionally, enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: You can’t set custom ringtones for contacts stored on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Tap and hold the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
  4. Tap “Set ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Press “OK”

Change Notification Ringtones:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Sound & Notification”
  3. Go to “Default notification ringtone”
  4. Select the desired notification ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”
