Enable and Optimize Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Swipe up on the home screen and open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Battery”
  3. Tap “Battery saver”
  4. Tap “Turn on now”
  5. To optimize battery saving mode, return to “Battery” and tap “Battery optimization”
  6. Select the applications you want to optimize

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe up on the home screen
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Go to “Display”
  4. Under Adaptive brightness” drag the slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
  5. For timeout settings, tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout option like “15 seconds”

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off when they are not actively in use, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Bluetooth & Device connections”
  3. Tap “Connection preferences” > “Bluetooth”
  4. Disable the feature by tapping the switch
  5. To turn off Wi-Fi, return to “Settings” and access “Wi-Fi & Internet”
  6. Tap the “Wi-Fi” switch to disable the feature
  7. To disable GPS, return to “Settings” and go to “Security & Lock screen”
  8. Tap “Location” and tap the switch to turn the feature Off
  9. To disable Mobile Hotspot, access “Wi-Fi & Internet” in the Settings menu, then tap “Mobile Hotspot & Tethering”
  10. Next tap “Mobile hotspot” and disable the feature

Remove Unused Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Some third-party applications perform background process regularly which can potentially affect the device’s battery life. By removing unused third-party apps from the phone, you might improve battery life.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Apps & Notifications”
  3. Tap “See all apps”
  4. Select the desired application
  5. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK” to confirm

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the software updated at all times. To check if new firmware updates are available for your phone:

  1. Swipe up on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Scroll down to and tap “System”
  4. Tap “System update”
  5. Tap “Check for update”
  6. If new updates are available, follow the prompts to complete the download and installation. Note that you may need to reboot your phone in order to complete the process
