Back Up Data:

  1. Swipe Up on the Home Screen
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Go to “System” and tap “Backup”
  4. Ensure “Back up to Google Drive” is enabled
  5. Tap “Account” and if necessary, select the desired Gmail account to use for backing up your data
  6. When ready, tap “OK” > “Done”

NOTE: To restore data, simply log in with your Gmail account on the phone and allow it to sync data with the device.

Back Up Media Files On a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “Media sync (MTP)” when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
  5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer storage
  6. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and PC
  2. Enable “Media sync (MTP)” on the phone at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
  5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
