Clear App Data/Cache:
NOTE: If an app causes issues or takes up too much storage, you should be able to fix it by clearing the app cache or app data. WARNING when clearing the apps data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted, including custom settings, user profiles, login data etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.
- On the home screen, swipe up from the bottom
- Launch Settings and go to Apps & notifications
- Switch to All apps if necessary
- Select the desired app and tap Storage
- Tap Clear cache
- If clearing the app cache didnt solve the issues, tap Clear data (check WARNING above)
Reset App and Network Settings, Factory Reset the Device:
NOTE: Ensure youve backed up all of your data before factory resetting the device.
- Launch Settings
- Access System and tap Reset options
- To reset network settings, go to Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap Reset two times to confirm
- To reset app settings, tap Reset app preferences > Reset apps
- To factory reset the phone, tap Erase all data (Factory reset)
- Then tap Reset phone > Erase Everything
Reboot to Save Mode and Remove Apps:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode. In this mode, third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power
- From the power-management pop-up, tap and hold Power off
- Wait for the device to finish rebooting and a Safe Mode watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
- Launch Settings and tap Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps if necessary
- Select the desired app and tap Uninstall > OK
- Once done, you can exit Safe Mode by pressing and holding Power and rebooting the phone normally
