Clear App Cache/Data:
NOTE: If an app causes problems or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the apps cache or data. WARNING! When you clear an apps data, all of your personal data stored with the app will be deleted, including login data, user profiles, custom settings etc. To avoid losing personal data, clear ONLY the app cache.
- Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
- Open Settings and go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps and select the desired app
- Tap Storage > Clear cache
- In case clearing the app cache didnt fix the issues, tap Clear data
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Phone:
NOTE: Before resetting the phone, ensure you have backed up all of your data.
- Open Settings
- Go to System and tap Reset options
- To reset network settings, access Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap Reset two times
- To reset app settings, go to Reset app preferences > Reset apps
- To factory reset the phone, tap Erase all data (Factory Reset) > Reset phone > Erase everything
Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove an App:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode. In this mode all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power
- In the power management pop-up, tap and hold Power off
- Wait for the device to finish rebooting and once done, a Safe Mode watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
- Open Settings and go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to All apps if needed
- Select the desired app and tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, press and hold Power and reboot your phone normally
