Enable Battery Optimization:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Go to “Battery” and tap “Battery optimization”
  4. Select an app to optimize
  5. Optionally, you can tap “Menu” and enable “Advanced optimization”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down
  2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Open “Settings” for more options
  4. Access “Display”
  5. Tap “Advanced” > “Sleep”
  6. Select a lower timeout value

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down
  2. Tap the “GPS (Location)” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable the features
  3. To turn off Wi-Fi, ta and hold the quick toggle and set the switch OFF
  4. Open “Settings” for more options then tap “Network & Internet”
  5. Tap “Hotspot & tethering” > “Wi-Fi Hotspot” and set the switch OFF

Uninstall Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform background processes and they can affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. You can potentially improve battery life by removing unused third-party apps.

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Access” Apps & Notifications” and switch to “See all apps” if necessary
  4. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times.

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Go to “System” > “System update”
  4. Tap “Check for update”
  5. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply the update
