Enable Battery Optimization:

1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
2. Launch “Settings”
3. Go to “Battery”
4. Tap “Battery optimization” and select an app to optimize
5. Optionally, tap “Menu” and enable “Advanced optimization”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
3. Open “Settings” for more options
4. Go to “Display” and tap “Advanced”
5. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

1. Swipe the Status bar down and tap the “GPS (Location)” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable the features
2. To disable Wi-Fi, tap and hold the “Wi-Fi” toggle and set the switch OFF
3. Open “Settings” for more options
4. Go to “Network & Internet”
5. Tap “Hotspot & Tethering” > “Wi-Fi Hotspot”
6. Set the switch OFF

Uninstall Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Third-party apps can perform regular background processes and this can affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing third-party apps you can potentially improve battery life.

1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
2. Open “Settings” and go to “Apps & Notifications”
3. Switch to “See all apps” if necessary
4. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times.

1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen
2. Open “Settings” and go to “System”
3. Tap “System updates” > “Check for update”
4. If available, follow the prompts to download and apply the updates
