Clear App Data/Cache:
NOTE: If an app causes issues and takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing the problems by clearing the app cache or data. WARNING! When you clear an apps data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted, such as custom settings, login data, user profiles etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear the app cache ONLY.
- Open Settings and access Apps & Notifications
- Switch to See all apps and select the desired app
- Tap Storage > Clear cache
- If clearing the cache didnt fix the issues, tap Clear data
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Device:
NOTE: Ensure youve backed up all of your data before resetting the device.
- Open Settings
- Access System
- Tap Reset options
- To reset network settings, go to Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap Reset two times
- To reset app settings, go to Reset app preferences and tap Reset apps
- To factory reset the phone, tap Erase all data (Factory Reset) > Reset phone > Erase everything
Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove Apps:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power on the home screen
- In the power management pop-up, tap and hold Power off
- Wait for the device to finish rebooting and once done, a Safe Mode watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
- Launch Settings
- Access Apps & Notifications and switch to See all apps
- Select the desired app and tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, simply reboot the phone normally
