Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. From the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Open “Settings”
  4. Access “Display” > “Advanced”
  5. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value

Enable Battery Optimization:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Battery”
  3. Tap “Battery optimization” and select the app you want to optimize
  4. Optionally, tap “Menu” and enable “Advanced optimization”

Uninstall Unused Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Some third-party apps can perform background processes regularly and this can affect the device’s battery life. By removing unused third-party apps from the phone, you can potentially improve battery life.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access “Apps & Notifications”
  3. Switch to “See all apps” and select the desired app
  4. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down and tap the “Bluetooth” and “GPS (Location)” quick toggles to disable the features
  2. Next tap and hold the “Wi-Fi” toggle and disable the option
  3. For more options, access “Settings” > “Network & Internet” > “Hotspot & Tethering”
  4. Tap “Wi-Fi Hotspot” and disable the feature

Update the OS:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and this is why it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “System” > “System updates”
  3. Tap “Check for updates”
  4. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply the updates
