Clear App Data/Cache:
NOTE: If an app causes issues or takes up more storage than it should, you can try fixing it by clearing the apps cache or data.
WARNING! By clearing the apps data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. You can avoid this by clearing only the apps cache.
- Open Settings
- Access Apps & Notifications and switch to See all apps
- Select the desired app and tap Storage > Clear cache
- If clearing the app cache didnt fix the issues, tap Clear data (Check the WARNING above)
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:
NOTE: Ensure youve backed up all of your data before factory resetting the device to avoid losing it.
- Launch Settings
- Access System > Reset options
- To reset network settings, tap Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- Tap Reset two times
- To reset app settings, tap Reset app preferences > Reset apps
- To factory reset the phone, tap Erase all data (Factory Reset) > Reset phone > Erase everything
Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove Apps:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power on the home screen
- In the power management pop-up, tap and hold Power Off and accept to reboot into Safe Mode. Once done, a Safe Mode watermark should be visible on the home screen
- Open Settings and access Apps & Notifications
- Switch to See all apps and select the desired app
- Tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, reboot the phone normally
